Get Started

The collaboration portal created by your advisor enables you to interact with them more closely and to securely approve and exchange documents from anywhere, anytime.

You may be invited to access more than one portal. For example, you accountant may set up a collaborative portal for your personal accounts and another for your business accounts. For your business-related portal there may be a number of other people associated with that portal, e.g., your business partner. Your accountant may give you access to the whole portal or restricted access to certain tasks and/or documents.

Before you start

Your Portal can be used on any computer or mobile device with access to the internet. Use the latest version of the following supported browsers to ensure your portal displays and performs correctly:

  • Firefox
  • Google Chrome
  • Internet Explorer
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Safari

Your browser should also have cookies and Javascript enabled.

Screen resolution from (640px x 960px) to (2560px x 1440px) are supported.

Let’s start

You’ll receive an email from your advisor inviting you to connect with them in a secure online space, where you can collaborate with them on important documents and accounting tasks.

Once you receive an invitation email:

1. Click Sign in to your portal in the email. You’ll then be directed to a web page where you’ll be able to log in to the portal. An example login screen is shown below.

2. Click the appropriate Sign in button to use your existing MYOB account or your Google account.

   If you don’t have an MYOB account, you can create one. Click Sign up and see How do I create an MYOB account? for more info.

3. Enter your username and password, then press Enter. The portal is displayed.

4. If you’ve been given access to more than one collaborative portal, select the one you want from the list on the left. Your chosen portal is higlighted, so know which one you’re in at any time.

5. The Tasks page displays enabling you to view any tasks that your advisor has given to you to action.

   The Tasks page may be blank as your advisor may have only just set up your collaborative portal and may not have created any tasks for you as yet.

My Documents

Your advisor will send you documents to view, file or approve. You can access all your documents from the Documents tab.

 

Click Documents to View a document and its details

Click on a document in the displayed list to view it.

Filter your documents

Filter and sort your documents list based on what you’re looking for using the Filter button and sort option.

View an associated task

If a document is associated with a task, you canview the details of the task from the document details.

Upload files

If you need to send your advisor documents. Click upload (+)

My tasks

Any items that require an action from you will be listed on the Tasks page. Tasks are normally listed in date order, with the most recent one at the top. Your tasks can either be ones that require the approval of documents(such as your annual tax return) or ones that are general activities that your advisor needsyou to do (such as send them your monthly receipts).

On your Tasks page, you’ll see at. aglance a list of tasks (which can be filtered), as well as each task’s due date and other portal users who have also been assigned the task.

Click Tasks to View a task and its detials

Click a task in the Tasks list to view it.

View my open tasks

Select My open tasks from the filter option.

View all open tasks

Select All open tasks from the filter option.

All the open tasks associated with this portal are displayed.

If you have restricted access to the portal, you’ll only be able to view My open tasks.

View my completed tasks

Click My completed tasks from the filter option.

All your completed tasks are displayed.

View all completed tasks

Click All completed tasks from the filter option.

All completed tasks associated with thism portal are displayed.

If you have restricted access to the portal, you’ll only be able to view My completed tasks.

View a documented attached to a task

Click a task in the Tasks list to view it in a separate panel of the page. Then, click the document you want to view from the list.

Your document will either open in another browser window/tab or in your PDF viewer.

Action a task

Most tasks will be associated with either approving a document or viewing a general task.
